We leave Mildura on Friday and plan to camp around Renmark Friday night, then Burra on Saturday and maybe Sunday then on to Hancooks Lookout or Willmington on Monday so I would be guessing Tuesday or Wednesday. How about I give you a ring on Sunday night and let you know what's going on and the plan from there.
Sounds good to me. There are a few detours that we will be doing along the way so by the time we get back to the main road you will probably be right behind us.
We don't leave here, Mildura, till Friday morning and then we figure we will take two days, at least, to get to Burra so you can see we are travelling slowly as well.
When will you be in Pt. Augusta?
I think that was the meeting plan. Keep me posted. I had such a good time at Crystal Brook, I need to keep up with friends.

We are hoping the DeBe and ElBe will join us for some part of the trip Chris and if you could make it too that would be the icing on the cake (not passionfruit though).
I want to come too. Please, please can I come too? I love the west and am considering relocating in that direction some time.
DeBe and ElBe mentioned your travel plans Elaine & Rob, while I enjoyed their hospitality yesterday, o/night and today. Magic fingers Daryl fixed my Waeco. Thanks everyone.

Depending on how fast you travel Lacey, I think there would be a very GOOD chance that we will meet somewhere up the middle. Will keep you posted re: our position.
I would suggest a weekday at Whiteman Park, less people, but may have to check if the trams are running on that day.
Regards arriving Perth, if you draw a horizontal line across Perth, you would need to be above the line in September in the mid west to see the wildflowers, August is a bit early, and if going south of the line to the south around October......
Not sure where we will be this point in time, but would suggest make a date for Whiteman Park (in the burbs east and slightly north of Perth) and we all try to be there at that time. Not everbody will be able to make it at that time but at least it is a starting point for those who can......
Entry to Whiteman Park (Caversham) is free, as is a small museum there, however others like the motor museum and the zoo you have to pay an entry fee, this is a link to the zoo there;

Which way are you heading over there Dawa? I hope to be leaving Adelaide early June heading Nth then down the west coast. Maybe we'll be crossing paths somewhere along the road.
Depending how fast you intend to travel Pete we should be able to meet up somewhere between Adelaide and Darwin I would think.
We are currently in Mildura (Mid April) and don't plan on being in Darwin much before about mid June. We will stay there for a couple of weeks and then head back down to Katherine and then over to Broome and so on down.
PM me your email addy and I'll keep you up to date on where we are.

Yes Paradise, we will catch a Paradise tram at Whiteman park...
Let's hope we have some nice weather on that day Mate. We used to be able to predict with some certainty what the weather would be doing but it has all gone to hell now, still fingers crossed.

Ok as your leader I have got together with the wonderful people at PETS and their suggestion is that we should partake of a picnic at the Mussel Pool then drive a "special" up to the "Village" and have a fun day of it. I'm assuming one of us could drive a tram????
This would have to happen on a Tuesday, Friday Sat Sun or pub hol unless in School hols then anyday would work for them.
This is of course unless you weatern staters want to get together and orgynise a meet over a few days at a camp ground.... But you are going to have to do 2 or more depending of the number of splinter groups that turn up.
