Aussie Baby Boomers

Hi Greg and Carol,

We leave Derby tomorrow morning and head to Broome where we will be a resident of the Roebuck Plains Roadhouse caravan park for up to 17 days.

As we finished the end of the Gibb River Road and started on the asphalt we stopped to put rubbish in a road-side collection point and when we opened the van all we could smell was ammonia gas.  We had stopped for morning tea and had a lovely time and then driven another 500 metres when we saw the sign for the rubbish point - so stopped to put the rubbish in.  They THINK a gas line on the fridge has split and it will take up to 15 days for the part to come from Brisbane....  We would continue on our way BUT will still have to wait for the part in Perth.  We are using the Bushman in the back of the car for a temporary fridge but I don't look forward to having to go for a month without the van fridge - so we will stop and enjoy the area around Broome whilst we wait.....

Hopefully we will see you in Broome.

Leaving Kununurra tomorrow, heading to Halls Creek then Fitzroy Crossing before settling in Derby for a week.
